A "terp pearl" or "terp ball" is a small spherical or bead-shaped accessory used in dabbing, which is a method of consuming concentrates. Terp pearls are typically made of heat-resistant materials like quartz, ceramic, or ruby.
When dabbing, a concentrate such as wax or shatter is placed on a heated surface, often a nail or banger made of quartz or titanium. The terp pearl is then added to the heated surface along with the concentrate. As the surface is heated, the terp pearl spins and moves around, helping to distribute the concentrate and increase vaporization efficiency.
